Step into a sultry summer night of rhythm and nostalgia as legendary percussionist Sammy Figueroa pays tribute to the king of Latin jazz, Cal Tjader, celebrating his 100th birthday.
On August 20, 2025, Faena Theater comes alive with the vibraphone shimmer and Latin swing that made Tjader a jazz icon. Joined by an all-star ensemble—including Latin Grammy winner Felipe Fournier, pianist Tal Cohen, bassist Agustin Conti, and Reinier Guerra on drums—Sammy revives the spirit of Tjader’s iconic quintet.
Featuring archival footage and unforgettable hits like Soul Sauce and Mambo Mindoro, this is a one-night-only celebration of cool, tropical sound.
