Step into a sultry summer night of cool tropical sounds as legendary percussionist Sammy Figueroa pays tribute to Cal Tjader, the original king of Latin jazz, celebrating his 100th birthday.

On August 20th, Faena Theater comes alive with the shimmering sounds of the vibraphone and the swinging Latin percussion that made Tjader a jazz icon. Sammy brings back the nostalgic sound of Tjader's iconic quintet with Willie Bobo and Mongo Santamaria with an all-star ensemble featuring Latin Grammy winner Felipe Fournier, pianist Tal Cohen, bassist Agustin Conti and Reinier Guerra on drums.
